RAPID Neurofascial Reset
What is RAPID NeuroFascial Reset?
RAPID NeuroFascial Reset (often shortened to RNFR) focuses on the central nervous system. It relieves restrictions in the muscles, fascia, nerves, and ligaments.
RAPID NFR releases tension, relieves pain, and restores the function of the body’s tissues. It focuses on treating the cause not the symptoms.
RNFR therapists treat scar tissue from surgeries, C-sections, and past or recent injuries. We can also treat long-term conditions and scarring using RNFR.
Rapid release is a versatile tool. We use it to treat those conditions:
• Tendonitis
• Sciatica
• Bursitis
• Plantar Fasciitis
• Whiplash
• Frozen Shoulder
• TMJ/TMD
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
• Shin Splints
• Tennis Elbow
• Golfer’s Elbow
• Arthritis • Bunions
How Does Rapid NFR Work?
-RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is a neurological technique. RNFR therapist works with the central nervous system (CNS). It includes the brain, the spinal cord, and several major nerves in the body. The CNS coordinates information and activity from all over the body. Emotions, sensations, hormones are functions of the central nervous system.
There are several ways for your soft tissue to get damaged. Some of them are trauma, overuse of the muscles, and a lack of oxygen (hypoxia). A single site of damage can result in damage to other areas, or the spread of symptoms to other areas of the soft tissue. The goal of Rapid therapist to identify and treat the damaged tissue.
We are also dealing with neurological hypersensitivity (body’s way of protecting itself). Inflammation around the damaged tissue triggers the central nervous system. As a result the neurological system “locking down” that tissue. The affected area becomes painful and dysfunctional. Muscles and tendons can shorten, putting greater pressure on the nerves.
This can be the result of small or insignificant traumas that were never healed. The body’s natural response is to protect itself. Unfortunately, this response can lead to chronic pain and the loss of range of motion.
What to Expect
-RAPID NeuroFascial Reset is a very hands-on treatment. Therapists move and manipulate the tissue with their hands . They are also using touch to diagnose areas of damage or scar tissue.
Many people experience some pain and discomfort during the treatment. This is because damaged tissues are already locked down and experiencing hypersensitivity. The therapist stimulates the neurological system by the movements. Those movements would repair the damage. This is necessary for the body to begin healing itself.
The soreness clients experience may extend to the day after the treatment. The method is quite effective. Rapid NFR is about having less treatments and getting more out of it.
Why Medical History Matters in RNFR
The therapist needs to know details about your health and well-being for two reasons. First of all, central nervous system monitors and controls the entire body. Second, it is very important to avoid unnecessary injuries and trauma.
This knowledge helps to determine the location of the soft tissue damage. Before you arrive, consider relevant items in your past medical history, including:
• Concussions • Surgeries • Sprains and strains • Broken bones • Sports injuries
Reflexology
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is for everyone from infants to the elderly. It supports the body's optimal functioning and energy flow through gentle stimulation of the foot reflexes...and feels AMAZING!
Reflexology… what it is and isn’t
What it is:
it is non-invasive
can relieve tension
improve blood circulation and supports the body’s efforts to function optimally
RCRT’s are required to maintain a high standard of training and follow a national Standards of Practice, Code of Conduct and Ethics of the Reflexology Association of Canada.
What it isn’t:
it’s not massage therapy
it doesn’t diagnose specific conditions
it shouldn’t be painful
doesn’t treat or prescribe for foot conditions such as corns, bunions or ingrown toenails. This is not in our scope of practice and should be treated by a foot care specialist.
